Edited by: Mort Dyken on 06/10/2006 09:03:26 Cedega finally brought me back to Eve, as I will never ever run a Windows OS again.
Running very stable on Dapper Drake, Athlon XP2200+, Nvidia Geforce 5900XT.
The only issue is that I seem to be losing FPS when doing long travels - around 40% after 40 jumps, but still it does not crash. As I had the same problem und Windows XP when I left Eve a year or so ago, I'm not sure if it's related to Linux.

El***er was referring to Wine, not Cedega. For me, Cedega is running like before the patch.

Originally by: Brelk I've got Ubuntu 7.04 and Wine 0.9.36 up and running, and I installed EVE again in Linux - and I can't bloody well find where it's installed to run it. Can someone help? I'm truly stumped.
Should be something like /home/NAME OF YOUR HOME DIRECTORY/.wine/drive_c/Programme/CCP/EVE

Quick check on premium content using the just released Wine 0.9.53: Same fps (less than 50% of classic content), stations still invisible for me.

Originally by: Starbooze 1. Stations, jumpgates, stargates, and capitol ships do not render. At all. This alone makes Premium via wine unplayable.
SOME != ALL. Caldari stations do render.
They don't render for me, and I've tested several stations in Jita, including the famous Navy Assembly one. I wonder if it's grafx card related, as I only have an Nvidia 7600GT.

No idea why, but after yesterday's patch, all character portraits are suddenly rendering fine for me. This is with Wine 0.9.57 and Ubuntu 7.10.

I had this too, Mooriko. You need to go to the graphics settings tab in Eve and change your cache settings (or something similar, I'm at work right now) to high, which should fix it immediately.
